Software Scam - After Paying For License - application does not work. I paid for a license, installed it and after one backup the software stopped working. It kept giving a message stating that it couldn't connect to my iPhone and that I had to restart both the iPhone and my PC to fix the problem. I did that and it still did not work so I have not been able to backup my iPhone and refresh my call history, voicemail, photos etc. Such a ripoff! Contacted the company and no reply. I am out of pocket $49 USD for one license.
Diskaid is fully sick!!!. Someone recommended diskaid to me because I needed to transfer my enormous contacts list from my iPhone back to my computer. What I didn't know at the time was that it would also allow me to consolidate my iTunes library with the contents of my old iPod! Sweet!!! :D Pros: Easy to use transfer wizards for all types of transfersFree features to test-drive Cons: Registration process was not as simple as I was hoping, but the support was prompt and very helpful :)
DiskAid - Functional, but does not set itself apart from free alternatives. The application runs astoundingly great while it is free, excluding the fact that it cannot change the permissions of certain files, a necessity when putting in ROMs for emulators that are available for jailbroken devices or for other uses, the others tending to be in a legal gray area. However, the fact that DigiDNA has decided to charge a fee so that users can retain functionality of the program after 14 days makes this application overpriced, especially with other free solutions for disk access that are just as functional or more, even if almost all of these free ones use a slower connection to the device.Simply put, the application is not worth the price. Other applications are available that do the same thing, and there are no real features that set it aside. DigiDNA made a big mistake when they decided to change it from freeware. Pros: Fast USB 2.0 connection (uses same connection as iTunes for access)Simple drag and drop interface Cons: No editing of permissionsNot a very portable solutionPrice tag
